This leadership role will be responsible for parts, service and customer care of our highly technical, capital equipment. The mission of this role is to develop revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of on-going rapport with existing and potential customers, as well as identifying and implementing continuous improvement activities in Aftermarket Operations and Customer Service processes. This position will be based in our Waterloo, Ontario Office.


Reporting to the Aftermarket Vice-President, your responsibilities will include:


  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive profitable growth.
  • Manage a team of Customer Service Representatives, by providing purpose, direction, and vision.
  • Collaborate with Sales Department to determine Aftermarket support of Sales' strategic initiatives.
  • Drive Aftermarket Daily Management for Operations, along with the Customer Service Group, providing metrics and Visual Management processes.
  • Co-ordinate Aftermarket Management Business Reviews monthly, to formally review Quadro progress toward initiatives and performance against identified key metrics.
  • Identify decision-makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and via e-mail - cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
  • Co-ordinate customer training, as necessary.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues.

    The successful candiate will possess the following education and competencies:


  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or Business.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years direct work experience in a technical sales or service and/or customer service capacity.
  • Preferred experience within a factory environment, with exposure to metrics, Lean and Visual management processes.
  • Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communications required. Ability to interact clearly and confidently with all levels within the Organization, and with external sales representatives, customers, vendors, and others, as required.
  • Knowledge of basic ERP Systems - with any experience of Visual Manufacturing software an asset.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Solid planning and organizational skills.
  • Innovative with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time for other Business Units, and for customer visits, training, Trade Shows, etc.
