Quadro Vac Performance

The Quadro Vac was set up to convey the product from a pick-up wand infeed into a bag fastened to the 10 gallon receiving drum. The product flow achieved was excellent and the bag helped cushion the fall of the product into the drum. Due to the hard, brittle nature of the mint coating, roughly 2% of the discharged product was damaged. This could be further reduced/eliminated by the use of a silicone lining inside the receiver.

Summary

The Quadro Vac provided an excellent transfer rate with little breakage in the application of vacuum conveying of hard, brittle, coated mint candies.
