SIZE REDUCTION OF DRIED PORCINE SOLUBLE
 

Background / Requirement

Porcine soluble is made from pork membrane and used as feed grade protein supplement for pigs and livestock. This protein supplement is either injected into the livestock or sprayed onto their feed. It was found that the hair follicles on the skin were oversized and would jam up the spray gun or injection needle at the time of application.

Comil Performance

The Comil size reduces the dried porcine flakes without destroying the nutrients. It provides the particle size required for exiting spray guns and injection needles (after dissolution), freely.

Summary

This is a proven application. The customer rented a Comil for testing and has since purchased a Comil model for this application.
