Your Pump Requirements
The Quadro Ytron Z
Emulsifier with pumping tooling has been designed to
provide continuous in-line high-shear mixing, emulsifying
and homogenizing while eliminating the requirement for
infeed and/or discharge pumps. The toothed rotor/stator
heads are engineered to extremely fine radial tolerances
to process the product at high differential velocities.
The result is consistent, repeatable quality at capacities
exceeding those of conventional multiple-pass technology,
such as in-tank high-shear mixers, colloid mills and
shear pumps.
Tooling Flexibility
Rotors/stators for the Z Emulsifier come in a wide variety
of slot widths which allow for a high degree of multiprocessing
flexibility. Through tooling selection and varying
rotor tip speed the amount of shear can be precisely
controlled.
Scalable Throughput
The pumping tooling option is available on three sanitary
design models providing scalability from pilot plant
capacities to >200 gpm (760 L/min). By maintaining
the same tip speed while changing the tooling diameter,
throughput can be scaled up or down while maintaining
product characteristics, texture and particle size
distribution.

Quadro's Approach

- Product is drawn into the housing axially from the inlet pumping rotor.
- One or more liquid phases and suspended particles are pumped through the toothed rotors/stators.
- Controlled, high-intensity shear is delivered equally to all fluid elements,
regardless of product characteristics.
- Shear rate is constant, dependent only on rotor/stator tooth selection and rotor
tip speed.
- Product is pumped from the housing via the discharge pumping rotor.
